SENECA: EPISTULA 47,21: GOOD CHARACTER AND MEANNESS (BASENESS)

Diutius te morari nolo (I don't want to detain you any longer); non est tibi exhortatione opus (you don' t need exhortation). Hoc habent (This have got) inter cetera (among other things) boni mores (good manners; a good character): placent sibi (they like themselves; are fond of themselves), permanent (they are permanent; persist). Levis (Inconstant; unstable) est malitia (is malice; infamy), saepe mutatur (it changes often), non in melius (not for the better) sed in aliud (but into s.th. different; into another thing; s. th. else).---
